AI automation for small and growing businesses · North West & UK

Hand off the admin. Keep the business.

Code Garden builds practical AI and automation for small and growing businesses. We connect the tools you already use, take on the work that eats your week, start with a small pilot, and only scale what works.

01

What we automate.

Most of what we automate is the admin that comes round every week. These are the usual starting points. If yours is different, tell us about it and we will say whether automation will help.

01

Enquiries and replies

New enquiries from your website, email or WhatsApp get a sensible first reply within minutes, even at 10pm. Anything tricky goes to a person.

02

Jobs and scheduling

Rotas, job allocation and status updates that currently live in a spreadsheet, a group chat or one person's head.

03

Invoices and paperwork

Invoices, forms and contracts read and filed in the right system. No more retyping the same details twice. Overdue invoices get chased for you.

04

Reports and alerts

The Monday morning numbers are in your inbox before you sit down. Alerts when something needs a look, and a small dashboard if it helps.

05

Something else

If your problem does not fit a box, tell us about it anyway. We will say honestly whether automation is the right fix and what a first pilot would look like.

02

Packages and prices.

Most clients start with an audit, then pick the best idea for a sprint. Prices exclude VAT where applicable. Any third-party tool costs are billed to you at cost.

04

AI training and implementation.

Service

Get your team using AI on their actual work.

Buying a licence is easy. The hard part is knowing which tool to use for which job and how to ask it for something useful. Without that, most licences sit unused after the first month.

We run a practical session with your team, set the tools up around how you already work, and check in over the following weeks to help with questions as people start using it.

What you get

Training your team will use.

Sessions for owners and staff, help choosing and setting up tools, and some hands-on setup so your team saves time in the first week. It works well alongside an automation pilot.

05

Our work.

Code Garden is run by Tim Uzua, a software engineer and former Head of Technology at an FCA-regulated bank. Tim has built banking, payments and healthcare platforms, so the automations we build are secure, documented and owned by you.

Recent automation work

In pilot

Cleaning schedules for a North West short-let operator

The team ran a dozen short-let properties and assigned cleaners by text each morning. Late checkouts and early check-ins were easy to miss, which squeezed changeover time.

We connected their booking system to a daily cleaning plan that puts early check-ins first and late checkouts last, with a simple dashboard and SMS updates for cleaners. Next up is a digital room checklist and fault reporting.

06

Also on offer.

Most clients start with automation. If you need more, we also offer part-time technology leadership and custom software.

06a

Fractional CTO.

Service

Senior technology leadership on a retainer.

Some companies need more than one automation project. They need a senior person to set technical direction, help with hiring, keep delivery on track and decide where AI fits.

Our fractional CTO service is usually two to four days a month for a fixed fee. We work with your existing engineers and do not sell open-ended staffing.

Best suited to

Growing teams that need a senior lead.

Founders who are not ready for a full-time CTO, and businesses whose software has outgrown its first version. We start by talking through the decisions you need help with, then agree a monthly fee.

06b

Custom software.

Service

Software built around how you work.

Sometimes connecting existing tools will not solve it. You need an internal system, a customer-facing product or some code that ties several systems together.

We design and build it with a clear scope and fixed-price stages where we can. You own the code and the documentation at the end.

Best suited to

When off-the-shelf tools run out.

Teams that have outgrown spreadsheets and patched-together tools, or founders who need a secure first version of a product. We agree what you need, then what to build first.

07

Common questions.

What kinds of work do you automate?

Anything your team does the same way every day or every week. Common ones are replying to enquiries, booking appointments, chasing invoices, copying data between systems and pulling together reports. We work across most industries.

How long does a pilot take?

About two weeks. Before we start, we agree the one problem we are fixing and how we will know it worked. If it works, we quote a fixed price to roll it out.

How much does it cost?

An Automation Audit is £495, and that fee comes off a sprint if you go ahead. An Automation Sprint is £2,500. An AI Front Desk is £3,500 to set up plus £300 a month. A Care Plan is £400 a month.

What does AI training and implementation cover?

We help your team pick the right tools, set them up for the work you actually do, and get comfortable using them. Usually that means a workshop, a short written guide for your team, and some hands-on setup so people keep using it after the session.

What is included in fractional CTO?

A senior technology lead for a few days a month. That covers architecture, hiring, delivery standards and decisions about tools and AI. Your own team still does the day-to-day building. It is a fixed monthly fee.

Do you build custom software as well?

Yes. If automation or off-the-shelf tools will not do the job, we design and build software around how you work. That might be an internal tool, a customer-facing product or the code that connects your systems. We agree a clear scope first and fix the price in stages where we can.

Where are you based?

Between Liverpool and Warrington. We work with businesses across the North West, including Liverpool, Warrington, Manchester and Chester, and with clients elsewhere in the UK. Most of the work is done remotely, and we come to you for workshops when that is useful.
